Man, this is why I hate some people, if I did something like that to someone's car the least I'd do is leave my mob details on their windshield.... This person must have been drunk or driving without looking because he scraped my whole drivers side.

Pics

My wing mirror was also torn apart and I managed to find 1 at Silverlake that was exactly the model mine required so that cost me £23.50 tonight.

I hope the police catch whoever it is, they will need to take their car in for body/paint repair to a body repair shop nearby (a few round here) so hopefully this is when the driver is caught. This is assuming it wasn't a stolen car or something.

What a crappy day...

erm thats quite bad. Easily over 300 quids worth of damage :( Sorry to tell you this but the chance of you finding out who did it are slim to say the least. The police have got slightly more important things to worry about instead of checking local paint shops every day ;)

Jeez, that's pretty damn nasty :(

Looks like their car scraped all the way down, idiots :(

Hope it doesn't cost you *too* much to get it repaired. This is why I'm glad I have a driveway to park my car on. This kind of careless damage seems to be getting every more common.

I know all about that :( On well, that's the price you pay if you have to park on the street. That damage doesn't look too bad though, it will look better after a bit of t-cut action.

The police officer said crimes of this nature get sent to the RPU over at Cosham for investigation who deal specifically with this type of incident so I'd like to keep my hopes open!! :p

This weather means there is not much point washing the car right now but will do some t-cut over the weekend so hopefully it won't look too bad after that.

I'm looking to partex the car anyway to get a coupe soon so I'm not "too" fussed, a garage who part exchanges it can easily respray the body but it does mean I'd lose more partex value though it would be less than what I'd have to pay to repair it plus I'd have a new car in the process this way :)

I didn't know the side damage was there til I got home form work at 5pm tonight, my dad noticed it and showed me, the day it's been raining and dark so I never really noticed it nor did I look at the side as I was too occupied by the broken wing mirror :/

I've sent a letter of request via email to my local paper which is quite popular giving the police number and reference if anyone knows of someone that has damages to their car which has happened between last night and this morning. some one in this small town has to know someone with a car that is damaged and has paint transfer that is green.

Fingers crossed folks!

ahh thats crap, that is really bad scrape too. can't believe some people. Was that down in gosport or in fareham where you work dont you?

The accident happened in Gosport during the late night hours sometime but yep I work in Fareham.

I had very very similar happen to me not only a week ago. Except i was driving at the time.

was over taking a car (not at silly speeds, just safely milding overtaking) guy in a volvo doesn't look and just pulls out in the middle of a duel carriage way into the right hand lane (where I am) scrapes down my car. We get off at same junction, He signals for me to pull in to the layby, then flies past and around the corner. I don't get to see what round about exit he turns off at, and can't find any details.

Luckily, the scratches TCutted out so well, you'd never know they were there, but still... pretty **** thing to do, esepecially after getting me to pull over.

What the hell volvo was he driving to get away from an ST?

I had a client on the phone the other day (I work at a CAB) who was a Polish Immigrant who had hit someones car doing similar damage to yours and driven off. He claimed that, that kind of behaviour was 'normal' in Poland and he didn't know any better.

Someone saw him drive off and noted his Reg Number and gave it to the owner of the car who was hit, who in turn reported it to the police.

The client was calling me for advice because the Police had caught up with him and he was afraid of being prosecuted. :D

Couldn't tell him that it served him right, but did tell him to cooperate fully with the police and get his insurance company to cough up for the other driver.
