Sony Bravia KDL-40W2000 - what's it like?

Looking at something not too large that won't break the bank, but 1080p is a must for Blu Ray. Will be used for normal TV and Blue Ray. Don't think I'll use it from the PC though unles it'll display better then my 2407 WFP?

Ive seen this tv in action with blurya and it isn't too bad. Money better spent on a plasma tv like the new 1080p panasonic models coming out (PZ85). Much better PQ for standard tv viewing and have much nicer blacks compared to the sony.

They will be too expensive. Looking for something second hand really.

I've got a 40W2000 and must say that it's excellent. I was worried about SD broadcasts, but they're fine (unless you sit too close!).

Don't worry about the black performance either. Alright, it's not quite up to plasma standards - but it's one of the best on LCD's.
