I'm upgrading from a K750i, what would you say is the better option?

Both have the features I need but I prefer the look of the k610im. Do either of them have particular downfalls?

cheers

The K610 is a downgrade from the K750. It doesn't even have an auto-focus camera. The W810 has the same hardware as the K750, so that isn't an upgrade either.

Interesting, after looking at the Sony site, it's clear I should be getting a K800i.

Or the K810i.

Tbh, i think you'll be a little underwealmed by the 'upgrade'.
I went from a W800i to a K800i and its the same in every way but the casing.
You'll ooh and arr at the higher resolution screen and the 3MP camera, then a week later, you'll realise its no different. :p

That's exactly what I want though, I love the software on these phones so it's the shiny new casing and better camera I'm after.

I went for the k800i, I refuse to spend more than £20 p/m so it's tough getting a decent phone from them. :p

If it's between w810i/k610i definitely the w810i.
Here are some bad points from both phones.

K610i- Its probably like the K550i, when you take a picture, you cannot zoom in when in 2MP/1MP mode, only in VGA (640×480) (w810i does not have this problem). You can however, zoom in after picture is taken and zoom in during video recording.

W810i- Viewing videos on fullscreen is really pixellated. It has a screen res. of 176x220 but can only play videos of 176x144. (this also occurs in K610i)

If you want a walkman phone get the W810i, stay away from w850i if you need decent camera and don't mind keypad cracking.

If you need a Kamera phone, look at the k790i/k800i/k810

EDIT: K610i cannot zoom in during 2MP/1MP mode.

k610 has really, really cheap looking screen without acceleration and with lowered down resolution. If you ever used k750, W810i in your hands you will not like k610, because the screen looks fuzzy and pixelated, like step backwards to T series. It is also very light and plasticky to touch. W810i is definitely a better phone out of two.
