hi,
got my w900i yesterday and i love it but the problem is it seems to me the battery life is really poor.i have charged it about three times already, when i play some music for 45 minutes the battery would go down to 70-80%,is this normal?

cheers

I've had mine a few days now, and yeah I love it too! I havent had any battery issues, i used the phone for playing mp3s constantly the other day (not in walkman mode) and there was still a respectable amount of battery life left.

But I've heard the battery life improves over time, I dont know how accurate that is though...

oh right, how long was your initial charge? i charged mine for about 2 hours and then it the w900 said "FULLY CHARGED".

can anyone tell me if battery life improves over time?

oh right ok will give it a few more charge and see if the situation has changed.

how long can the w900 play music for until the battery runs down to 0%??

in my opinion yes, i think the camera on the w900 is better quality than the d600. i havent used the 6280 but from what ive heard its not bad.

if i was you i would go for the w900.

Im with jesta, the w900 is unlike any phone I've ever had. My previous phone was the A1000 - and I thought that was pretty dam good too, but the w900 just oozes quality, its not a smart phone - but thats not a bad thing.

The software included on the phone is good, it comes with videoDJ which is like a very scaled down version of windows movie maker. It also has a musicDJ which is like a very scaled down version of garage band and a pictureDJ which allows you to edit photos and pictures on the phone.

Another swanky little program is the facewarp function, it allows you to take a photo of someone and it automatically warps it into a myriad of stupid and childish pictures... lovely.

The internal memory is unrivaled by any other phone, and the photo quality is top notch.. comparable to the 6280 (but seems better than the v3x).

Its also comes with a remote for the walkman, the remote doubles up as a radio and a universal headphone adapter...

Oh and the inbuilt pc remote control function is quite cool, allowing you to control your pc mouse with the phone via bluetooth. It also has dedicated modes to allow direct control of windows media player and powerpoint presentations (also works with open office)

The only thing that is slightly annoying is that there is no shuffle feature (or I havent found it yet) on the walkman... bit of a let down considering its supposed to be a walkman.

But overall I think its one of the best phones on the market at the moment. The D600 and the 6280 are great phones but I think the w900i is the winner due to better functions and software.

yeah, i love the phone.all the little programs are great. before i got it i was scared that it may be too bulky but i found it d perfect size altho all my mates said it was a brick!!!

you can control your pc mouse, etc????? HOW???????

SE make the best phones, but WHY O WHY do they have to be so hideously huge. Don't get me wrong, the W900i is a nice looking phone. It's just too BIG!

And please don't crack any "The bigger the better" jokes. There's big, and there's gigantic. The W900i really is the Rik Waller of phones.

You'll get better battery performance if you use atrac rather than mp3. Also, how much did you pay?
i got mine for £40 a month but with 7 months half price line rental. i got 500anytime any network mins,100 free texts and 50 free video mins.

All you need is a bluetooth reciever on your pc and the w900i software installed, then browse to: Organiser and tools and then select remote control.. done. :)

a bluetooth dongle counts as a receiver right?because i cant get it to work:S

If you have the dongle installed go to 'My bluetooth places' then 'find bluetooth devices', select the 900i.

After pairing it select the 'mouse and keyboard on w900i' option and you should be away...

To Xpander: Yeah I actually saw this thread before I got this phone. However the disadvantages raised are nothing in comparison compared to the benefits.

With regards to the crashing and the slow OS, I have yet to experience them.
