Competetive market to get into but Sony being the giant in the music business that they are, I hope for great things.

more competition should drive the Tidal 19.99 price down, if they are still going.

I suppose Sony should have access to a cheaper catalogue, but if they can deliver 'Master' recordings re-mastered from the originals, for tidal these do sound better than the stock flac CD versions that Tidal have. eg. Hotel California on tidal was particularly memorable.

should be a cash cow for mobile data services if folks start appreaciating 1Mb/s flac music too, if you can get a reliable coverage.
