I've just pulled my 15 year old Sony separates out from storage its not been used in 3-4 years, was a quality bit of kit back in 92 
and cosmetcially looks near mint....
Now tt fires up no problem tuner, amp & Record deck all work fine but I'm getting crackling from the tape deck (no music) and a no disc message despite trying several CD's
Its not been boxed so I'm wondering if dust has got in there and causing the problems, whats the best way to clean the tape heads? and is there a way of cleaning the CD unit out?
