I'm looking to purchase my first gaming PC. I've looked over many sites and forums and feeling very overwhelmed, My budget is around £1200 and hoping to include a monitor in this. I'm not overly confident about building or putting it together myself ,but i understand will work out cheaper and i want to make sure I'm getting the best I can with the budget I have. ( I appreciate its not the biggest)With scope to be able to upgrade it in the future.

I'm really into survival games , so needs to be able to run the likes of dayz and scum. Also like playing warzone so if it could run that at a decent level even better.

I have visited another site and someone suggested the options below - i would be grateful if you guys could give it your thoughts or possibly suggest better alternatives

This build came in around £1200 and doesnt include a monitor, I understand I could save money by getting an operating system elsewhere

Any help is much appreciated
Thank you in advance

For £1200 you can improve on that 'average' 1660 *if* you can get hold of a 3070 or 6800 and tweak the rest to suit. Also depends what res you are gaming in, at 1080P don't skimp on cpu.

Thanks for the advice. Sorry to ask what is probably a dumb question. From the stuff you have listed, is this all I require to get up and running.

That's looks like a complete setup, less mouse and keyboard.
Other option would be to opt for quality thermal paste rather than what's on the cooler.

Some PSUs come with a power cable, some don't. Not sure if that one does but I'm sure someone can advise. edit: just looked, it does

as Angelwolf said all you need is a keyboard and mouse and if you want to improve cooling performance some decent thermal paste

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £73.84 (includes shipping: £9.90)

If your in no hurry to build the PC I would wait until the new nvidia 3060ti are available to buy as it should be much faster than the 2060 I listed and hopefully under £400.

Thanks for your input its very much appreicated. One thing that worries me is being able to put it together myself. Is it fairly straight forward? I looked at the build to order (i think i did it right) not all of the components were listed or available. I managed to knock up the configuration below with what was in stock, is this any good?
