Sorry Guys, please spec me lol

ok so after looking at these forums im a bit concerned. is it people trying to get to much from sandybridge thats killing the cpu or is it just unstable? would i be better off doing an i7 950 build or sticking with sandy?

I can't confirm this - but SB has been a pretty big launch with many hundreds of CPUs sold from OCUK in the last few days. With this in mind, it's understandable that a few have initial problems and DOAs, this is the nature of the business and these people will get their stuff replaced quickly once their specific issues are identified.

CPU, motherboard, GPU, OS, SSD and cooler are solid.

I would suggest going for this fan, it is very capable and quiter/slower.

As for the monitor, I hear it is OK. However, with this budget I would suggets looking at the Dell U2311H. This uses an IPS panel and is very nice quality, here is an in-depth review.

Alternatively, the 120Hz/3D monitors are worth a look - this one is the one I would suggest if you go down this road.

Are you needing an optical drive that writes to Blu ray disks? If you just go for a reader (which burns DVDs and CDs) then you will save some money.

right! i have finally settled on my spec, and would like comments plz
