Hi

Just in the process of hitting 4.2 on air and I was getting silly high temps 85 + etc. I have a great cooler and I decided to see what happened when I pulled the side of the case off. The case I have already is an inverted one

everything dropped by a good 12 degrees so from that angle its clear I need better airflow.

So I need a case that will fit a MEGAHALEM cooler. Have some kind of major exaust fan at the side (as this is where the heat has been building up) and the top and also drive bays that face you for quick swapping etc. I know antec 1200 is supposed to be good but i icant stand the drive caddy's.

If any one knows of a case please url me and I will be very greatful.

Looks like your current case (what case?) is serious failure so far as any kind internal airflow is concerned.

How much space and device bays would you require?
What kind styling requirements (classy or cheesegrater/magpies nest) and what kind budget you have in your mind?

looks not overly bothered about - really hoping for something that has the same effect as having the side off - some some serious fan on the side above or near the CPU. 4/5 drive bays - use 2 but expansion likelye - also fit 5870 just need 1 cd drive bay really. some decent cable management would be good. Budget I'd max at 150 expecting 120 ish - could that cooler master HAF be an option?

Unless case lacks airflow taking side off just destroys any control of airflow...

(and side fans higher up just conflict with tower heatsinks... to whose airflow direction they don't even fit)

If you don't need/want E-ATX depth case capable to housing any graphics cards (5870 is ~3cm shorter than 5970) that will increase options lot.
For open noise leaking design there are ones like this rather inexpensive for its size Lancool.

Noise containing designs are again rather rare, starting from Antec P183 which fits longer graphics cards if you remove upper HDD cage (leaving four HDD bays) and E-ATX depth P193, with side fan conflicting with tower heatsinks... and to some Lian Lis.

Couldn't you just mount a fan into the side panel of the existing case? It'd take some chopping and modding, but it'd be cheaper than buying a new case. :P

I'd have to go for the CM-690 because its such a great case and it's cheap too but dont let the price fool you

As Esat said, side fans are a gimmick, do very little, youre much better off with a case with decent front to back airflow, any side fan just interrupts this natural flow
