Im looking for a good soundcard for gaming that work`s well with vista 64.

Thank`s.

My Xfi Xtremegamer works a charm with Vista64 with 4GBs of RAM, some people have had problems but the modded drivers are perfect for me.

Good call mate. I have the X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro and I'm thinking of selling it for the Auzentech due to so many driver issues with the Crative card...

yeah the prelude is an x-fi core. it does the whole shebang, and hopefully in addition to DD/DTS encoding when the drivers are released (though would it be a ***** if it couldnt do both at the same time lol)

Might as well post here, what's the better out of the Xtreme Gamer and the Xtreme Music, I'm under the impression the Music is the better as it uses higher quality components or is that a myth? both are roughly the same price, asking as my Audigy 2 is dieing slowly :(.

Has to be an X-Fi of some sort if you want anything over stereo in Vista for older games. You will need Creative's Alchemy software (also available for the Prelude). Think there's an audigy version but you have to pay extra for it.

I heard the music had better components as well.
