Sound Quality.

Just a quick new guy question,

If I got an MP3 track thats 128bit rate, I know it's possible to up the bitrate of that file. But would it make any difference?

Is it possible to add quality to files..

Say I up'ed it from 128 to 320, would that sound like a 320 rated file, or would it still sound like a 128 ?

Definitely not. The information has already been lost and re-encoding it to anything would lose even more.

Simple answer is no. There isn't any way to reproduce sound quality which just isn't there in the first place.
