I`m totally hacked off. PCI-E Card came bundled with my new ASUS P5E.
Used bundled audio drivers, no matter where I stuck my headphone jack, software would tell me that I was sticking it in the wrong one, graphic told me to stick it in green (this is a no brainer, it`s friggen marked on the socket) ... no sound.
Uninstalled above. Went with native MS drivers. Plays Windows sounds and Midis all the time. Won`t play Audio CDs or MP3s though. Restart and you sometimes get MP3 playback for a short time then nothing. Windows sounds are always available though. Tried with another set of heaphones for daftness, still the same ... this is so damn random. WMP11 seems very sluggish?
I have a 24Bit Audigy SB Live but as we all know, Vista drivers are limited from Creative so I don`t really wanna stick this back in (though maybe I should for troubleshooting).
Any help very apreciated (as always)
