I got shot three times after a carjacking in my driveway at 6:00pm, this was on the back of 4 armed robberies in 3 years. For me, in the interest of self-preservation and the safety of my family I decided to move.

South Africa is the best country to live in until something happens to you, I just couldn't take any more chances. If that makes me any less patriotic than the next bloke, then so be it .

That said I have been attacked as well since moving to England, albeit by a badger in my back garden that I cornered with the RSPCA!

But seriously I got attacked as well in SA not like you did thank goodness, but people tried to rob me a couple of times but didn't work out for them lol.
