South Shields places to eat

If you decide you want to go somewhere a little nicer.

The blacksmiths table in Washington village is really nice. (can be pricey though)

The Green
Washington Old Village
Tyne & Wear

Or if you fancy a little further out.

The Church Mouse is a lovely little pub that does good grub

A Traditional Country Pub in Chester Moor, Chester-le-Street.Waldridge, Chester-le-Street, DH2 3SL

They are both a drive away from South Shields but worth it imo.

Enjoy your time up here mate

For pub grub probably the crab shack is your best bet, can be quite noisey on a sat night tho, or as Hedge said the mile is good, Italian food Bravi in the centre is nice but if you want a good italians then goto Romanos in cleadon village much better not too pricey either.

Cliff Notes:

OP asks for suggestions of places to eat.
Posters suggest places that might be good.
OP ignores suggestions and goes somewhere else.
OP posts to say that the place he went wasn't particularly great

Conclusion:

OP should probably have listened to one of the suggestions as that was why he created the thread...

Boo! Hiss!

Never been there myself!

Theres much better places though.

It used to be really nice when owned by Tavistock, they had the nice simple food done realy well, also a nice place only problem i would say is normally the service is pap.

Crab shack is the pub next along to the rattler and is much nicer food albeit a lot busier.

But in the end yeah, you should have listened to us lol.
