So I never played the first or second edition of the board game from GW.
And looking through some magazines at HSmiths, I saw the latest White Dwarf and plastered on the front was references to Space Hulk and apparently the third edition. So I picked up a copy for nostalgia sake...
Have to say the kid in me just came running to the top and I fell in love with the GW world all over again :D

Sooo, asked a friend of mine to pick me up a copy of the game since he was getting one too :)

Had the second edition as a kid, loved playing it :)

Nowt wrong with GW (although I don't play it anymore), I find it annoying that it's still looked down upon when things like computer games are now mainstream. I wanted to get into D&D recently with the event of 4th Edition, but there are literally no clubs I can find, and I live in a major city ffs!

i picked up my own copy of the new edition, the sculpts are very good, there's a few losses in detail owing to the two part cast and obviously you can't undercut plastic.

i still like GW but i've moved on to historical games.

you live in brighton? there are now two large 'sci-fi/fantasy-historical' gaming clubs in brighton, brighton warlords which meets on tuesdays at the kings and queen and a Valhalla club which resides in wargames heaven in the imperial arcade (although most of us belong to both). just make yourself known as interested and talk to some of the older wargamers and i'm sure you'll be able to get involved in D&D if not some other form of roleplay (dark heresy, warhammer roleplay etc etc).

Cav, you're such a nerd :p

Pff, says the man who has 4 arcade sticks :D
(Incidentally I did crack open my TE stick the other day cause I was getting a bit miffed that when I pressed down on my stick I felt it was registering the down click much sooner than say pressing up).
I.e. the down switch is more sensitive than the up.

Infact instead of hijacking my own thread I will ask the question in your arcade stick thread :)
