Spanish Football 2011-2012

Cheating? Get off it both teams are as bad as each other & no one can defend a team with Pepe playing for them

Pepe is a thug, but that's one player. Marcello is usually awful too but he didn't play.

Alves dived all game, Sanchez dived all game, Pique dived to get Granero booked near the end, Busquets got Ramos sent off by doing the "elbow to the face" routine, was never a yellow. Madrid looked good value for a 3rd goal until Busquets killed them off, the same as he did when Inter were off to a good start at the Nou and they had to keep a clean sheet and score at least 2. Barca, as good as they are, hate losing so much they'll do literally anything to avoid it. I'm surprise we won 2-1 at the Emirates without that much fuss (they must have known how easy it'd be with our defence at the Nou lol).

This is one game :p You post a lot in this thread, you obviously know Marcelo, Ramos, Diarra and co are just as bad. Madrid's card count says it all. Awful, dirty team.

referee was absolutely pants. how did barca win the tie? RM were a better team especially in this 2nd leg.

jesus. since when was Fabregas a oscar winning actress? he was never like that when he was at arsenal. nearly as bad as pepe

Routine game of football between 2 dirty sides then heh.

Ramos is no saint either he's far from a clean footballer. Diarra should have been off in the first half too. But don't get me wrong both teams are dirty, They just show it at different times.

On the channel I was watching they didn't really make a big deal of the Ramos sending off, almost as if they couldn't really comprehend / believe what was happening. It was a regulation aerial challenge for which he's been given a yellow card, very odd, especially considering Alves (in particular) and co. had been going in late all game without reprimand. Meh. I just don't really like Barca, think their a highlights team that reek of arrogance.

Your allowed to be arrogant when your as good as they are.

A side from a little play acting from Alves and Biscuits, I thought Barcelona were well under par. Still passed and moved well but look a little shell shocked.

Real actually looked good, mainly because they were more interested in attacking Barcelona then stopping Barcelona. Take note 'The Special One' ;)

Real continue to be dirty though, it's a Mourinho thing. Terrible how such a talented side play such dirty football. could have had 4/5 players sent off.

Referee was abject at best, again.

Ramos can put in awful tackles too, but it was a routine header. Busquets knew he was a on a yellow so just fell to the ground covering his face, rolling around like he normally does. 90,000 people scream, ref buys it.

I think the only reason Diara stayed on was precisely because the ref, in that instance, didn't appreciate all the outfield players surrounding him and trying to influence the decision and let him off.

Arguably the best club side ever (only team that comes close is Milan of the early 90's) and arguably the best team ever (Brasil in the 70's will have something to say about that), they are perfectly entitled to be a little arrogant.

I don't think they're ~that arrogant either, funny really, None of the players strike me as being as individually arrogant as Ronaldo or Mourinho.

LOL are you for real??...he got smacked by Pepe, sure he shouldnt have made a huge deal about it but it must have caused him some pain but whats laughable about your comment is that you just compared him to Pepe, who actually goes out to try and kill or maim players either by stamping on them or lashing out with his hands etc.

Bull.

Referee bottled it. Simple. Didn't want to send a Real player off at the end of the first half.

LOL yep but he made up for it in the 2nd half with Ramos being sent off for what was essentially a soft free kick really...im more surprised that the thug Pepe didnt get a yellow till near the end of the game. Hes pretty much odds on favourite to be sent off when he plays for Real.

Being said that Pepe tried to stamp on Alves after his yellow challenge to boot (no pun intended) .. purely accidental I'm sure

Its not really making up for it is it? :p 8 mins with a man down vs a whole half

Its always accidental with Pepe, just like when he stamped on Messi in the first leg;). Whats more laughable is that the Spanish FA decided not to respectively punish him for that stamp and people say the English FA is bad lol.

LOL fair enough but i suppose the ref had to keep up the appearances ie at least one Real player being sent off in these sort of games:p

I said cecs play acting not being dirty. Maybe pepe is not drama queen then? Because i saw him roll on the floor like a drama queen throught the match, just like fabregas

Pepe is not only a terribly dirty player, he's also the biggest cheat on whatever pitch he's on.

I can deal with him being dirty, kicking, stamping and pulling players to the ground, not to mention being overly physical. This is made worse by his constant diving and rolling about in agony.

What makes this all worse is he's a good player. He literally (Richard) doesn't need to have any of that in his game. Same can be said for Ramos.
