Sparkling Wine / Champagne In The Hold

Hi,

Has anyone ever transported the fizzy stuff in their hold luggage before? I understand it would have to be suitably protected against knocks etc but what about the pressure and the bubbles?

The hold is pressurised to the same pressure as the main cabin so no issues there if you can transport them in there. I think the idea that the hold isn't pressurised must come from really old people that travelled in the 40s and 50s. :p
