Speaker wiring pos / neg ? Colours

Hey,

I am wiring up my front speakers and I need to know which wire is pos. and which wire is neg.

There is a:

green wire
pink wire

(Front pass side speaker 13cm)

Please help.

No idea.

But if you take out the HU, there's a fair chance that it'll have a sticker on it detailing the pinout of the speaker connections. Look at the connector, see which colour's on which pin. Problem solved.

Look at the original speakers, should be a custom connector and on one of the speaker terminals it will Say +.

I tried sticking the wires on any where and i tried both combinations and they both work.

It will work both ways round but it will only sound any good if you get it the right way

But in the long term will it damage my speakers?

Just make sure you get both speakers the same, or it'll sound odd

yeah, both sound the same to be :s. Well I think the pink one is the pos. Thanks for your help.

It will sound the same on an individual speaker, but if both speakers are wired differently then they'll each be 180degrees out of phase with each other... and it will sound weird.
