Hi

Wondering about upgrading the car (ST24) shortly, but can't settle on what to replace it with. I would be grateful for any comments/suggestions.

The criteria are:

- Budget: approx 15k
- Quick: 0-60 around 6.5 seconds or less.
- Depreciation: unlikely to lose more than 2/3k in value over the next two years
- Some practicality: I don't drive many miles a year (approx 3,000), but it would be the only car and will need to be able to fit set of golf clubs, travel bag, etc. Doesn't need to fit the kitchen sink.

After looking into this for some time I am keen on the Z4, and am probably edging more towards the convertible/saloon style, but could be convinced otherwise.

Thanks in advance.

Depreciation may be the problem there, and due to your mileage etc, personally i'd be looking at the more off the wall suggestions :

Escort Cosworth, older 911, BMW M3/5, early NSX, Lotus or TVR of some sort etc

Is reliability going to be an issue ?

Reliability's not a massive issue, although it would obviously be nice if it worked more often than not.

Hadn't really considered one, but will take a look. Are the all left hand drive, and what's the depreciation like - hopefully not like other Fords!

I do quite like the idea of something out of the ordinary like a Corvette, TVR, etc.

In terms of something like an Evo/Impreza, I think the per mile insurance would be a little too much as a result of the performance and image.

Thanks for the continued suggestions.

I'm not really after something like an Impreza. I prefer either the understated look or something more unique, like potentially a corvette/tvr, etc.

Also, I would prefer the car to be stock to avoid sky high insurance quotes. Just worked out the per millage cost today given my limited travel and it was quite depressing.
