Afternoon all,
We (small business) currently use a couple of Brother 5700DN (MFC) laser printers with both displaying continuous drum error messages that refuse to go away even with a drum (and toner) change.
They've both been through a handful of toners and a drum each (granted all compatible rather than genuine parts) but they seem to have gone down hill quickly in the last few months - noticed the last few toners have started dumping a lot of toner internally and one of the drums looks like it has a edge 'burn' mark on the drum roller.
Whats confusing is we have an older 5100DN that uses the same drum/toner and that's still printing like a champ.
Either way, i'm looking to replace the MFC's with something hopefully a bit more reliable as neither of them are particularly old (over a year each). Currently looking at OKI, Xerox, Kyocera but i'm a bit lost, so can anyone offer any recommendations?
Needs to be a network MFC (Scan, Copy, Printer; no need for Fax), offer double-sided printing, flatbed scanner, scan to email, MacOS friendly, reliable (we do roughly 3-5K pages per month each) and within £100-300ish budget. Nice to haves would be automatic feeder and double-sided scanning but not a deal breaker.
Any help will be muchly appreciated!
