Well it works :D

Fairly easy to put together even for me (this is my first full build from scratch) and I got no need to hunt anyone down . Only real problem I had was with the Noctua NH-U12F getting those stepped spring screws attached was a pain. I had to loosen the back plate so that I could raise mounting bars so that the screws would catch. I also put it in the wrong way round and the ram would therefore not quite fit in, but that was my fault for not thinking it out.

I am also not sure if I have put the fan in the wrong way round, as by this time I was getting a bit annoyed and just whacked it on. I have the logo on the outside which I assume is correct. Can anyone verify this to save me taking it apart again for me please.

Hi there,

Glad you are up and running you need the fan the other way around. The logo on the center needs to be facing the heatsink itself so that it blows air onto the heatsink (see my sig). It was quite difficult to install on my own the NH-U12F, thats why I got someone to help whilst installing that backplate/screws - makes it a little easier.
 
Had a feeling it might be in the wrong way round I should have checked. Atm speedfan is reading core 0 12 degrees and core 1, 17 degrees while idle and both 40 degrees after 30 min stress test. Ill see what a difference it makes put the fan the right way around.

i think u use Everest to messure your temps i just download that

cant seem to open TAT in vista 64 it pops up for a fraction on a second and then beeps and disappears

currently using a Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 Pro ULTIMATE SILENT 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

the temps on speed fan are now showing 5 degrees lower under load now the fan is the right way around :)

Yeah its great im glad you recommended it. Do you know of other temp monitoring programs that work in vista 64 coz on my old comp temps used to vary quite a bit from program to program.

I haven't mate as I'm on XP, could try searching the forum for it though as I'm sure the subject has been brought up before. Could try posting a thread in overclocking/cooling section.
