Spec me 3 SATA drives for at least 500GB total Striped RAID

What would you say are the best SATA drives taking into account mainly noise and cost? Total capacity is not required to go above 500GB.

This is for a partition where I will put my active virtual machine files so they are gonna get hammered! I have backups sorted.

3 x 250Gb Seagate 7200.10s, just make sure they're the single platter ones.
