Spec me a 24" Monitor - £300 max

Hi Guys,
I am in the market for a new monitor to replace my Hyundai L90D+ 19" which I am handing down to my son.
I am after a 24" monitor and am at a loss what to get, There are so many conflicting reviews. :confused:
I am getting a new system after xmas and the monitor would be for gaming ( COD MW2 ) and general browsing maybe watch the odd dvd.
Any advice would be greately appreciated.

I've just picked up a 2nd hand Dell 2407wfp revision A04, no complaints from me and seems fine in games (no input lag i can tell or blur but i have only tried Quakelive so far...not really to taxing for my 5870!! lol). Top this off with the wide viewing angles and its a winner IMO not to mention the additional bits and pieces like a card reader and USB hub.

Yes I did but went well over budget..I got the Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP,Well I say got I am still waiting arrival of it today..

Imo a good monitor is worth splashing out a bit on. Not only does a nice monitor make a massive difference to the pleasure of using a system, but it will also last you a good few years.
 
Hehe I am doing the exact same thing i think, i am looking at the Dell ultrasharp 2410wfp myself.

How much was the 2408wfp? and do let us know how it is when it arrives mate.

Hi Laney88, I bougt the monitor from here (OCUK) and it was £448.
It has arrived but the wife is insisting that I don't open it until xmas day....so here's waiting for the 25th :D.
By the way what kind of price is the 2410wfp?

I can't find the U2408wfp on ocuk so think il go for the U2410wfp if i can stretch to £436.99.

Yes but you can wait forever.....the next best monitor is just around the corner !!
I have got the monitor rigged up now and its awsome still need to get the best settings sorted out as its a bit bright to look at and I don't want to be wearing sunglases when I'm on it :D
