Hey all!
Essentially: Uni is dawning on me in a week or so. I have a toplap, but as is the norm the HD is overflowing with data so I'm going to need an external HD. Conveniently, I have a SATA drive lying around, I just need an enclosure.
So, please work me some magic and spec me one to the tune of:
Primary Importance
Fanless - quiet please.
Respectable appearance; even so much as snazzy.
USB powered
Secondary Importance
Speed
Price
Vertically orientated - ie. it stands up
Tertiary Importance
Size
Reliability
Ability to speak french
I've stuck getting power from the USB as an important feature as I imagine (with my current atrocitiy of a cable network) that it would be easy on the power sockets, and what's more, I could use it for a limited time when the laptop was unpowered. Yet the feature doesn't appear to be that wide spread.
Am I missing something?
