Spec me a bank account!

I have a halifax current account at the moment - was just wondering if there are any better current accounts out there? Better interest rates etc. Just out of curiosity really because the only reason I'm with halifax is because my parents opened a halifax savings acc for me when I was a baby...so haven't really changed.
