Spec me a bedroom items and layout. (Gamer)

I'm literally falling over wires consoles and games and so on so I'd like some suggestions for the perfect layout for a gamers bedroom and must have items to make everything look tidy. I'm thinking of getting a glass cabinet for all my retro consoles and so on but I need places to store hundreds of games and so on and a good desk for my TV and currently used consoles and PC.

If anyone's done a room up for their fav pass time of gaming I'd love to see pic. I need some inspiration. To get off my lazy butt and tidy up. My collection of empty cans of coke just doesn't do it for me any more.

(Admittedly some are the same, but should give you some ideas on how and how not to set up your room! ie if you have a 360 and/or a PS3 don't keep them cooped up in a cabinet, make sure they have ample ventilation etc)

Nice threads but they mainly seem to be taken directly infront of the TV or taken of the desks with everything on it. I want a full room layout.

Don't know if you need a desk, however if you do Ikea do a huge one for £35, Its home to my 26" HDTV, Mouse\Keyboard etc. and my Mrs shuttle and 19" TFT, it's excellent for the price. And you can fit two chairs under it nicely too

OK, retro stuff in the loft, current gen hooked up in a cabinet to a big ass tv with some kind of sofa/chair/bed opposite!

Personally I have a wide, deep desk with my pc/sub underneath, PC monitors on top along with my 360 and GC, all my other consoles are either in this little toy chest type thing i have at the end of my bed or up in the loft. and my HDTV wall mounted above the monitors, then a nice comfy desk chair and my bed just behind that. I usually sit in my chair with my feet up on the desk

And never, ever forget to leave space for refreshments
