Can someone please spec me a budget office pc that will be reliable (i.e. psu not dying after a couple of weeks, etc).

PC will be used for basic office tasks only.

Needs to have keyboard/mouse/OS.

So who`s been in the basement? :D

Actually I would pay the extra for this board, if going "B" grade.

2 separate systems, (EDIT) second one actually due to order was the one i was looking at myself to compare too, other one would be suitable too, just add other bits needed and/or swap things out like the PSU for example..

although i only know from what i read, if all you want it basic tasks then you dont really need to shell out lots for it..

mean my missus computer is an old SFF Biostar which has a basic spec, mobile sempron 3300+ 1.25gb ram(768 originally), 250gb HDD, Geforce 8500GT 256mb, optical, card reader, 220w PSU , Vista HP SP1 which i brought a few months ago for 30 quid and for what it is it can do general tasks just fine, can be upgraded alittle if need more like in our case i need to up her ram to 2gig to run things abit better, but other than that its spot on..

obviously buying new you want the best for your money, but you dont need more than just the simplest of things for your needs unless theres a demand..

just my opinion like.

Thanks for those. Any chance of getting a PC under £300? What about AMD?

The low price AMD processors aren't any good, compare to what the sandybridge (1155) pentiums offer, worth that little bit extra.

I still stand by my spec below :), only a pint of bad lager over £300...
