Spec me a car - £10,000 to spend

I wouldn't say the rear seats are useless and I wouldn't describe them as roomy either but a normal size adult fits well enough in the rear seats

Depends what your definition of normal sized adult is. As my definition is they will not fit well enough in the rear seats.

When I drive the 1 series, I tend to have the seat almost right back as far as it goes, I'm not a giant either. There is then 0 leg room for anyone behind me

Unfortunately can't grab a Z4, as a colleague has one, and wouldn't be a fair battle. Not suggesting any form of rivalry is going on... :p

Scared to go with RX-7/8 due to talks or engines going bang, don't want to be lumped with a massive bill.

As for the supra, I'm not a great fan... unfortunately I'm a car snob so it generally has to be Nissan / BMW / VW / Merc-Benz.

Looking at the Golf R32, there is some seriously specced models around for 9k, but I find it a bit boring.

If I had my way, it would be a TVR Griffith, unfortunately I highly doubt an insurance company would insure me in early 20's. Also the fact driving it in the rain would most likely kill me having been in one.

I'm slowly edging towards a 350z, found a few models I like but they're a fair drive for testing (150 - 400 miles away), but the excitement is making me want to purchase in the next few weeks as opposed to November!

I think a trip down to a Nissan dealership is in order, to take it for a drive and see how it feels.

Dam! He just told me someone is flying in from abroad to look at it on Friday, says it's highly likely to go to him...

Sad times. Plenty more fish in the sea! I couldn't buy it this week anyway, ones with that mileage are rare though.

What do you find boring about the R32 out of interest is it just the design?

Push the budget a little and get an S3? http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/4059437.htm

See you you find it to drive, people say Audi in general are dull to drive, yet I really like them.

I'm not sure, I want something a bit unique, it looks too much like a golf to make it feel special.

If I'm taking it out once or twice a week, it may as well be something not generally seen (probably more 350z than 1 series bmw).

In regards to the S3, I hate estate style cars, but if I was to get an Audi it would be an A7, god they're beautiful! Slightly out of my price bracket though :p.
