Most likely Ev0, but I'm sure it was English, as he said you couldn't enter by Postcode for the Satnav (same as mates Z4 2006).

The old bay is still there with the screen in, so I may take it to Nissan and exchange it for the OEM carpeted bay (around £150 total), which gives a bit more storage, as it makes no sense to have the screen in there disconnected.

My main focus is getting the right arch partially resprayed, as there is a minor scuff (very small), if anyone can recommend some top bodyshops in Surrey it would be good.

It's not the language that's the problem, I believe import head units don't work out of the box with our radio frequencies, and you won't get RDS etc.

Also not sure how you can update the maps to uk ones (you must be able to thought I'd have thought).

Aye, in that case it must have been a UK HU then, because it had UK maps loaded and the only reason he changed it was because the Nissan GPS was terrible.

Must stop talking about the car... makes me want to go and collect it now :(.
 
That'd make sense, as it was brought in 'properly' by Nissan wouldn't be surprised if they stuck a UK HU in there.

Out of interest has anyone said what Japanese model/trim level this car was? Does it have both Brembos and leather?

Yes, had sexy orange brembos (one of my buying criteria), and full leather. To my knowledge it's a UK 350Z with import features... so all the trim is UK style.

Confusing eh? :cool:
 
From what you've described it sounds like it's a standard ST spec with the tip/auto option, that's had the HU changed for a UK aftermarket one :)
