Spec me a car...

Renault Clio 172. :p

Lots of fun and 4 seats.

You need to give us some more detail.

Size? Running costs? Do you want comfort or performance? Age? Mileage? Etc etc etc.

go for a mondeo

GALANT.....

Very nice models can be had for 5k. Fun yep, 4 door yep. Not to normal either which is a big bonus in my book.

Even insurance is cheap for the spec.

You'll have to look hard as most seem to be around 3k and 70% of those are automatics. Just need to search around.

I think you may be onto something there...

And if the Skoda badge doesn't tickle your fancy, check out the Seat Toledo V5 or the 20VT Sport. The V5 20V has a 170bhp motor and comes with a very high spec as standard, a lot of them with sat nav. The 20VT isn't as well specced but comes with sports seats, a 6 speed box on top of the other gubbins like climate control, trip computer etc...

You'll get a newer and better condition one for your money compared to the Octavia.

I'll be selling mine within the next few months if I get my new car too ;)

EDIT: Pics...

Nice :)

I must say it would be a real struggle to find a better all round car with so much performance (Bar a Leon/ Toledo Cupra which is the same thing with a different shell and badge slapped on the arse) for less than 5 grand ;)

There is also the Fiat Coupe 20VT pushing 220bhp stock. Great engines and easily tunable. :) A few members here have them. You can pick up a decent one for around 3k. Unfortunately its only 2 doors (but 4 seats). The rear there isn't much space but the boot is huge.

^ Those pictures, you can easily tell its a Golf all over. :)

Very nice and clean interior there- my Leon's identical bar my leather seats :) (And the puddle in the footwell at the moment   ) What's the button next to the rear window heater? Looks like it says Airbag Off? Is this a Toledo specific thing? Or is it just on earlier/ later Seats than 51 reg?
