Since upgrading to Monterey my £34 HDMI/PD/USB3 dongle stopped working with a mouse & keyboard but works with some USB memory sticks, though a Sony camera is no longer recognised so have to use the other USB C port & disconnect the keyboard while transferring photos. 
Actually, I use a 4 port USB3 switching hub as share keyboard/numeric pad/ mouse/USB sound card with a PC & just press a button to switch over to the Mac... These all worked with Big Sur through the dongle but not Monterey, but neither does a keyboard on its own.
Lucky to only be using a 1440p monitor so the usual 4k/30 HDMI is fine for 2k/60
I believe a 4k/60 dongle would be Thunderbolt3 & another £100 anyway.
Does anyone know of a dongle that works properly in Monterey that supports:
HDMI 4k30 2k60
PD pass through
RJ45 1000base
SDcard slot
2x USB3 A ports that work with a keyboard, memory stick etc
I know most the dongles have USB A ports but could do with a dongle that's been proven to work with Monterey & a keyboard at least.
