spec me a fast growing plant

i got a plant on its way out and i am in need of a replacement for it. i would usually just go to homebase and buy whatever takes my fancy but after so many disappointments with the plants looking for help before i get one.

bascially looking for one that looks niceish, grows big and tall, grows really fast and if possible has a nice plant smell to it. any suggestions for this? also would be cool if i could buy it as a seed and watch it grow to a huge monster that overtakes my house.

also while got this thread i have a plant that is growing realy big though not that quick, but it is loosing its leaves (about 1 every day) near the the pot its in. any reason why? i can only guess because its getting colder and less sun but surely they'd want more leaves to soak up the sun and also the fact it is still growing very well just not at the pot is very werid.

noooo plants losing its leaves at the bottom, means its sending its nutrients straight to the top to help it grow more and more, the leaves die at the bottom so they arent taking nutrients from the top.
