Spec me a Fridge Freezer

Right, just bought a house and need a new Fridge Freezer. Well, this might sound like an easy task but it's proving harder than I thought. This is due to one thing, the height. We are limited to having one that is maximum 155cm tall due to the space it has to reside.

We only have one place to put this fridge freezer. It has to be a fridge freezer - you know, one with the fridge on top of the freezer. Preferably I'd like to have basically a half and half - half freezer and half fridge and not one with just a small box freezer on top of a fridge. Integrated isn't an option due to where it has to go and it HAS to be Silver in colour - this can be Stainless (brushed) or just the plastic sliver style. Budget isn't a massive problem but obviously we've just bought a house so we've got plenty of things to buy and the more sensible it is the better...

I have only been able to find three options so far.

1. Hotpoint Retro RTR51 - c. £600
2. BEKO (Edit CDA538) available in Comet for £249
3. Candy (again, no model number) available in Currys for about £229

Option 1 is nice but has a box freezer at the top - is also blooming expensive for the size but on the other hand it looks lovely.

Option 2 seems to be the best of the bunch so far but awaiting more ideas

Option 3 seems even cheaper than the BEKO and is bloomin horrible so won't be a consideration.

So, the question is. What else is out there - can anyone make any suggestions?

Being the size it has to be it's not quite that simple - I also want something that looks good and complements the new kitchen I'm about to pay out for. So far the choice is limited and before I buy I just want to make sure I'm not missing something I will find after buying.

Go be helpful somewhere else please
 
It's not that simple - as you can see from my original post I have only been able to find three options. Two of which look kind of cheap - one, the most expensive, doesn't really have a big enough freezer section. Something in bewteen would be nice but I can't find anything - hence asking for anyhone to let me know if they know of one!

I want to know if there are more out there other then the three I have found. If not, I will make my choice and be happy but I want to make sure I have seen all the options.

Can't argue with it really. Although being a frost free fridge it makes some weird noises at times. Not loud enough to disturb you though, you can only hear them when you're in the kitchen.

That's 191cm tall - I need one no more than 155cm...which is where theproblem lies. Doesn't seem many on the market in the size I need.

As for pics of kitchen, not built yet but it's probably going to be beech cupboards with a black granite work surface. I have a brushed stainless AEG oven, hob and hood and a silver Hotpoint Washer Dryer.

QUite simply it has to be silver, can be retro or modern and can be of any material as long as it fits int he space required of no more than 155cm tall.

I'd get option 2, as it seems to be the best of the bunch so far. The BEKO one sounds awful and I'd avoid it if I were you. Option 1 sounds a bit expensive, though it looks really nice. Maybe you could stretch your budget?

Yeah, thanks. The CDA538 is the one I've already seen - the other lower one is just too small.

Any others other than the BEKO range and Candy range that I have missed.

Be aware, I have google and have used it so finding the same ones I've already found isn't overly helping. Thanks all the same.

Cheers Paul but the BEKO is option 2 - does look better than the Candy and so far, is definitley the better option so far.

Just hate the thought of buying one and then finding a much better one the following week and kicking myself about it.

SO far though, a toss up between getting the more expensive Hotpoint and not getting quite the freezer space I need or the BEKo which is a cheap option but suits in size better.

lol - no worries. Just punting for ideas as there may have been someone that had the same height restrictions as I'm experiencing or even a Fridge Freezer Salesman lol
