Hey guys. I'm sorely starting to feel the slowdown on my PC at the moment, it's finally hit that 2 year mark since my last upgrade and so... It needs a gaming facelift.

Currently the core of the system is an Intel core2 duo E6300 1.86ghz, Gigabyte 965P DS3, 2GB Corsair XMS2 6400 DDR2 RAM, BFG 8800GTS 640MB and a Corsair 520W modular SLI PSU.

Firstly, will I be able to run a big gaming upgrade without changing my PSU? This computer hasn't seen anywhere near intensive gaming session's over the last couple of years, but fairly frequent light usage.

I'm happy with all my drives, case, peripherals etc. But will be investing in a 24" monitor so need to bear that in mind when speccing for GFX.

Will I be ok in just replacing the mobo, CPU, RAM and GFX? If so, what would you guys recommend? I want it to be a significant upgrade, and would be able to spend approx £500 on these components.

Whats a decent GFX card? Is SLi worth it? Should I be looking at 4GB of RAM?

I'm totally out of the loop here guys, any advice would be very gratefully received.

Slap a decent cooler on that and job's a good'n. Or i5, or i7 would probably fit in budget too.
