Hi guys,

Just got my tickets for Le Mans for April next year! Well pumped.

First I have never been to France or anywhere in Europe so what kind of things do I need to bring with me? I know a passport, license etc.. but is there anything specific to the bike I need to take?

We are starting from the Worksop area (S81) and will probably go either channel tunnel or via a Ferry. I have looked a Ferry's and the cost is insane compared to the Channel Tunnel.
Is there any sites you can get cheap Ferry fares from? We are looking at about 4 and a half hours in the UK down to the tunnel or port really.

You miss out a load of boring roads with tolls and around that time won't be packed solid like Dover calais. Plus more reliable with strikes and port closures and general unrest.

The food is shocking in taste and price whilst your there so take some rations.
 
Thanks Macca, looked at prices and they seem very acceptable.

Out of question, what documentation do I need to take with me? The bike is restricted at the moment, i'm thinking about de-restricting it when going though. Not sure if I should or not though, as much as I want to :p.
