    Hi,

On the lookout for a new monitor. The hardest work it'll do is Football Manager.

Budget is around £300 and looking for it to be either Dell or HP to 'match' the rest of my kit. Would rather avoid curved screens too.

    Any recommendations welcome.

Personally I'd go for one of these as I would want the USB-C simplicity of being able to hook up a laptop easily over that interface:

    Dell U2719DC
    HP E27d G4 27"

    or without the USB-C

    Dell U2719D
    HP EliteDisplay E273q 27"

The difference is also in the guarantee though the Dell has 3-Years Advanced Exchange Service and Premium Panel Guarantee which covers you for that period against any bright pixels appearing e.g. stuck as white. Not sure if the AOC or Acer offer anything like that. When I was looking at Samsung the other day I noticed their equivalent guarantee only offered 7 working days from date of purchase to report any bright pixels and be covered under their warranty.
