I have been using an old Manfrotto for about 5 years but would like to replace it with something lighter and shorter. My current one is about 800g and 60cm long which doesn't sound like much but it would be good to have something shorter and lighter for travel.
I don't have any super tele lenses so a support weight of 5KG is a good starting point.
I haven't really set a budget yet and started looking at carbon fibre but saw that they aren't all necessarily super light and some of the Manfrotto's are getting on for 600g.
I have seen some 'Induro' CF monopods which seem to be about 400g but have never heard of them before????
