I'm looking for a nice 4 door comfortable diesel for around £5/5.5k.

What can you surgest? Up to now the MG ZT CDTI 2.0 has taken my fancy as being quite good value for money, I've seen one on a 04-Reg with 80K for £4995

Can any-one recommend these or anything better?

I will be doing around 12/15k a year in it and need an average of around 45mpg. Manual or auto it doesnt matter, leather seats would be nice.

Thanks

been looking at auto versions of those also, not bad for the money.

Other than the MG, you have Mondeo's and some of the newer facelifted vectras.
£5k might get you a high mile 320d, but that puts it in turbo fail territory i think.
A4 1.9's are also in budget :]

Everything for this budget is in turbo failiure territory to be honest. I like the look of the MG ZT for this budget - possible to get a recent, tidy, uptogether car whereas sub £5k BMW's are normally ***** owned and wrecked sheds.

Vectra = lol

mondeo tdci? a lot smoother than the PD VW engines I've tried and should be able to get a reasonable one in your price range..?

Vectas are surprisingly good actually, not as good as the mondeo though.

Which pretty much sums up why Fox LOL'd at the Vectra choice - surprisingly good sums up peoples expectations of a Vauxhall.

Surprised when they find a good one!:D
