Spec me a painting

Hi guys,

I am trying to find a nice landscape painting to go above the head of my bed. Nothing stupid when it comes to price! I have had a look on the bay but i can't seem to find anything that good to be honest. Here are the requirements...

1) It must be of landscape orientation of about 30 to 40 inches wide.
2) No crazy frames. Just a stretched canvas will do.
3) Non of that crazy my kid just painted this with his ass style. :eek:

Even just posting a pic of what is on your wall may give me some ideas.

I have a skull and crossbones but you may not like that. How about a shipyard or a sunset on the lake or something? Have a look in photography forum for ideas :)

It's not rude, it's just a really tacky way of getting your favourite picture blown up to a ridiculous size. It, invariably, looks hellish. Fine for dorms, squats and halls, but nothing else.

my dad does silk screen prints more or less like this one..

maybe we have a couple lying around the house we can sell?

theres less gold in his other works. and he only does sceneries
 
My sister got a nice painting off ebay for about £80 I think, it's not a detailed picture of anything (maybe even abstract!) but it's meant to be sunrise over the ocean. Looking closely at it, it looks just like a bunch of clumsy brush strokes but when you stand back it really looks great.

I'll try and find out which seller she used.
