received my steel case leap today.

was supposed to be immaculate and refurbished

gutted as look at this

what do you think has happened to that, looks like it has been damaged and glued

Get em to fetch it and get a refund sorted. Not acceptable when described as immaculate.

Mine is the v1, has every adjustment other than Lumbar, which as it happens suits my back perfectly! These are the chances we take with stuff like this I guess. If you went through Ebay/Paypal you should have no problems getting it sorted though.

Humanscale Freedom is what I bought but that's similarly priced to the Aeron chairs when you're looking at new prices so the lolbay auction site was where I found a previously sat on version.

Do you have one? If so, which? Considering getting a new chair fairly soon because the one I'm using now is my Dad's old chair and is getting a bit tatty and the padding is flat.

+1 Ikea Markus, but I added a Jay Combi gel wheelchair cushion, as I have spine issues and end up with pressure sores (limited fidgeting) which makes a tremendous difference.
Regardless of which chair you choose, take the time to read up on how to position yourself properly, wrt monitor height and being able to rest your forearms on the desk (make sure the chair slips far enough underneath). You want a relaxed, but upright posture, without any strain on your upper back. You should have your feet flat on the floor, so consider a foot rest if you have little legs. And be sure to fidget plenty and get up and stretch at least every 30 minutes. Sounds excessive, but sedentary workers are the 2nd highest at risk of DVT after aircrew. So encouraging circulation is sensible.

im using the faulty one currently and I like it.

love the way I can lean back and move about without an issue.
especially with gaming positions depending on what I am playing

I saw these and think they look pretty good. The only thing that would concern me is the mount and the quality of the base and various components. The chair bit should last forever.
