Midnight Express is a corking film, a definite recommendation for that one from me. Scum's good too.

Yep, it is indeed infinitely superior to the remake with Adam Sandler and still significantly better than the football remake called Mean Machine.

Animal Factory is one that is worth a watch although I don't know that I'd necessarily suggest a purchase unless it is cheap.

Undisputed is a reasonably entertaining film which is sort of about boxing set within a prison, not one to buy though.

Cool Hand Luke and The Great Escape would be ones to buy if you are looking to purchase any.

Escape from Alcatraz is surprising good considering its age

I quite like The Rock, although it's not a prison movie per se.
The Green Mile is OK although being based on a King novel it is a little far-fetched in places.
