spec me a remote shutter release

Need to find a remote shutter release fast and haven't got time to gen up on them so i'll pronate myself at the knowledge of this forums collective feet.

I hear some are wired and some are wireless. like the idea of the wireless and from what I grasp they can do a few extra tricks. but not sure if' they're way too much money so if you could let me have ideas across the price spectrum that would be great

I've got the hahnel wireless remote. There are a couple of versions of it. I think phate may have the pro version but I've got the normal version. Forget offhand what features the pro version has over the normal one though.

There's a "wireless" (RC-1) for Canon EOS cameras (e.g. 7D) which need line of sight with the front of the camera - i.e it's like a TV remote but Canon still call it wireless but they mean no wires, not actually wireless as in "radio waves". Which is the Hahnel - out of interest.
