I have had it with my on-board soundmax hd. The sound is good but causes stuttering and a massive decrease in gaming performance. Have updated drivers for the vista 64 and the problem still persists.
Anyway, im looking for a cheap sound card, doesnt have to be 7.1 or 5.1 because i normally use my headphones. Most importantly has to be fully compatible with vista 64!!!. Price wise, not too extravagant, less than £30 would do.

but when you say compatible with vista, is it compatible with the 64 bit version? if yes then ill think about getting this.
