Spec me a sub £300 projector...

Hi I am looking for a sub £300 projector for watching dvds...
Do you think it is worth it for such a small price?

Aim a little higher, say around £400 odd, you should be able to pick something up that can at least do 720p, maybe one of the low end BenQ or Acer ones?

There's a few 2nd hand 720p models available for that price elsewhere, just ask how much lamp life there is left though.

...and don't buy the Clearco HC9000.

It might be cheap, but it's not in the same league as even the most basic home cinema projectors. There are a few threads about it on AV Forums....mostly "How do I get my money back?!!" LOL

Do you have an AV receiver/Speakers?

If not then the projector route for £300 is a no go zone since generally speaking very few projectors have in-built sound/speakers!

How does screen size work, i assune it's just projector distance from screen? If so it says 1-10 meters, is tgere a chart with screen size.
