I'm looking to upgrade my current TV to a 55" one ideally. I've looked into loads of reviews etc but find it so exhausting and am non the wiser about what to go for.

Ideally want one with good HD and 4K over 3D. Will be using it for gaming and films and have surround sound already set up for the audio side of things. Would like it to have Plex and Netflix in built ideally but not too bothered as got PS4 for most of that side of things.

Thanks for the ideas. Having looked into it further, it turns out that my viewing distance from TV (7ft) apparently means a 50" would be better for me and I think it would be best based on my room layout too.

Also, I reckon HD OLED would probably be better too. Guessing 1200 is lowest I am likely to find one?

For now. Won't be long before HD OLED drops below 1k though.

Yeah guess smart thing to do is hold fire and wait for that time to come. Do quite like the look of the Panasonic TX-50DX700B though. Seems to tick a lot of boxes. Only concern is viewing angles.

So I am about to pull the trigger on the TX-50DX700B. Seems perfect for my needs.

Anyone got any last minute ideas for a 50 inch 4k TV under £1000 that might be a better bet? I can't see any but could be missing something.
