I have a 42" Panasonic LZ980 and Sennheiser Ambeo Mini soundbar currently parked on top of a built-in cupboard in a fireplace alcove in our living room. As it's an alcove I want to stick them both on an arm to enable me to push it in and out when appropriate, with the soundbar attached to the bottom of the TV. Never done this before, so err what do I need to bear in mind exactly? :p

The TV weighs 13.5kg (without stand) and the soundbar approx 3.3kg, so let's call it 17kg minimum. I see the TV is VESA 200x200mm so do I literally just need to find a bracket that says it's compatible with that? What about matching the soundbar mount to the TV bracket?

How about something like this; https://www.richersounds.com/sanus-vmf720-b2-slim-full-motion-32-55.html and this; https://www.richersounds.com/sanus-sasb1-b1.html?nosto=nosto-page-category2

I definitely want to be able to push the soundbar back to it looks flush to the front of the TV. Cheers.

If you want something reassuringly expensive buy the one I linked and send me 70 quid
lol. Looks like I need something that extends 50cm as that’s how deep my shelf is. I’d like to be able to pull it forward of that as it’s only a 42” !!

Here's a stupid question.. do all the mounts like the above actually move up and down? I can't see how they could given how the arms articulate. Bit of a misnomer if they're called "full motion" right?

So you'd have to get your height spot on?

(I like the idea of them having ~3deg rotation for when I inevitably don't manage to get it level :o

EDIT: The Invision ones seem well reviewed outside of Amazon as well; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Invision-U...ifi-gb-1378056613079888000-21&geniuslink=true or even https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01AYBL...pid|6afbb370-243f-498b-b7c5-e47b3b2ad872&th=1

Do I need to worry about compatibility with the above soundbar mount? Or is it just VESA to VESA, job done?

Looks like that Sanus one isn';t compatible with my soundbar. I'm confused, how do I check compatibility? The Ambeo Mini does not have any screws or holes along the back so I guess it's going to have to sit on a mount (which is annoying). Or do I buy the Sennheiser wall mount and have to use that in conjunction with the Sanus mount? Seems a little silly. I am confused... :o

Not bad, but I need the arm to come out as close to 500mm as possible as that's how deep my shelf is. And I'd like to be able to adjust the depth of the soundbar so that it sits flush with the front of the telly (there's no upfiring speakers to worry about). This all might be harder than I thought :o

It would be the most expensive way of doing it, but could I get the Sanus soundbar bracket and attach the Sennheiser wall mount to that?

Bump. Looks like the Sanus soundbar bracket does in fact support soundbars with bottom mounting holes. See here; https://www.sanus.com/assets/products/sasb1/documents/SASB1_IM_200520.pdf

Am I right in thinking this is an improvement over the Echogear? On the Sanus the arms can 'rotate' backwards to push the soundbar 3" behind the TV. Whereas the Echogear says depth adjustable by 3"... but looking at the pics the arms are obviously rigid so you can technically only bring the soundbar forward by 3"

Yes, due to various personal stuff going on for the last month this has taken a backseat. However I had emailed Sennheiser support to see if they had any thoughts on mounting the soundbar under my telly on a full motion arm. And bizarrely this was the reply I got

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I personally would not recommend it, the vibrations from the Soundbar may interfere with the arm and/or TV.

The official wall mount for the mini and Plus is:

Kind Regards,

Would you take much notice of this or are they just being overly cautious what they write?

Yeah @Kenai that’s what I’m thinking. Surely there’s no harm possible from doing this. It’s majorly common to mount a soundbar underneath a tv like this right..
