Spec me a TV please - need it before 5pm on Friday!

Hi guys,

Another TV specc'ing thread (sorry!) with one restriction. I need to be able to pick it up (or have delivered, cheaply - don't want Prime) before Friday evening. I live in London, N7 so somewhere like Argos would be great!

What I'd like:

1080p great quality screen
Passable speakers for TV shows
43"-50"
Prefer Sony / LG / Samsung, but open to others
No bells whistles needed (smart features etc.)
Budget ~£500, but will flex for the right TV

I eagerly await your guidance!

Cool thanks Sonny & wedrum! How does that Panny stack up vs Sony etc?

Also, additional question; is it worth spending extra for a 4K set?

Usage will be an Alienware Alpha, Chromecast, & PS4.

I'd definitely look into the option for 4k now. Not essential but if you get the right set at a decent price it may pay off.

at your budget you will get a very good 1080p panel or a poor 4k one which doesn't have all the modern tech inside it like 10 bit panel, hdr, etc.

if you want 4k up your budget considerably. otherwise stick with 1080p for now
