A lot of those haven't been broadcast over here so you might want to prepare for a little vacation from here.

Try;

X-Files
Firefly
Two and a Half Men

Is The Wire really that good? I dont mean to hijack the thread but I've just finished catching up with House (US pace) and looking for something to fill in my spare time.

Agree with House. And Frasier... and Peep Show! Definitely give Peep Show a viewing. And give Star Trek: The Next Generation a chance, cause if you can get into that then you have Deep Space Nine and Voyager to watch as well - and that's a LOT of TV right here :p

Yes, I'm a nerrrrrd.

Unfortunately you've just missed BBC2's run of seasons 1-5 of The Wire but it's well worth paying ~£15 for each season's boxset.

The Wire is incredibly well written and although it focuses on black drug dealers/gang members the characters never really feel like cliches or stereotypes, unlike almost every other cop show/movie I've seen.
