Im quite interested in getting an idea of what sort of power my rig is using, heard of theese wall tester units, anybody reccomend me one. Im a little concerned about my sli gtx 470's and i7 maybe drawing to much power from my psu, (corsair hx 850w). Particularly as ive been raising the card clocks to 800 mhz with added voltage, seen a few horror stories of similair systems dying.
 
Thanks RJC, ive always been curious about how much my rig draws, more so now as im running really power hungry gpu's overclocked.
 
I was the same, I would think your psu will be fine, I pull 615w with my system below with Prime an Fur Mark running which is the worst case scenario.

I tried various over items like the kettle and my TV in the lounge :)
 
Were you not running 5870 xfire a while back? Also, id be interested in testing things like the kettle and microwave, heard they use a lot, how anal am i lol.:o:D
