Spec me... a watercooled mixture of old and new

Have not had the chance to buy this yet after moving house, so I wondered if it is worth me holding off for a little while for an Ivybridge instead of the 2500k?

Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Thanks :)

Other than the CPU, I also now need to get a new monitor and I'm staying away from Watercooling for the time being. As such, I'm heading more along these lines now:

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7970 OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £407.99
1 x Intel Core i5-2550K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £179.99
1 x Asus Z77 Sabertooth Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £179.99
1 x Samsung S24A300BL 24" Widescreen LED Monitor - Glossy Black **GET THE VAT BACK** £134.99
1 x OCZ Agility 3 120GB 2.5" SATA-3 Solid State Hard Drive (AGT3-25SAT3-120G) £99.95

1 x Boogie Bug AimB.Pad XL Gaming Mouse Surface £16.99

Would everything work OK together?

I am concerned that my Mugen Scythe heatsink might foul on the motherboard CPU surround -is there anyway to check this, other than to buy it and find out?

There is little wrong with the suggested hardware put forward by Jamesfreddie.

You may as well go for the i5-2500k.

Keep the crucial ram suggested or swap for Kingston HyperX which is very cheap at the moment. The samsung ram is expensive compared to most other makes.

I would suggest a crucial M4 SSD instead of OCZ as I had issues with my OCZ SSD. I don't think they fully ironed out the issues with the agility models (I may be wrong there).

+1
Also go for the Asus Maximus V Gene....awesome little board....overclocks like a beast.

I am at the moment, but not in the future. Currently have Win7 x64 on my SATA drive.

In the future, my OS will be on the SSD, and the games will be transferred to my SATA drive.
Given that I have a number of large games (MW 2 and 3, BFBC2 and BF3, L4D 1 and 2, etc) I'm concerned that the SSD will fill up.

Having realised that my Scythe Mugen will not fit LGA1155, I need a new cooler. I've gone for the Be Quiet! one at ~£50.
I've decided to stick with the Sabretooth MoBo as I just prefer the clean look of it. It might be more expensive, but I think it will be overall worth it :)

So, how does this look?
